In St. Catherine's we like to take our learning out doors and with Rush North beach just a short walk away, all the children in St. Catherine's NS benefit from our living classroom. Enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds us in St. Catherine's NS
Exploring the rock pools, digging for treasure, sand sculpting and paddling in the clean fresh water. Living in a coastal community we think it is important for the children to participate in beach clean ups and develop a respect for the sea and their beautiful locality. How best to do this than immersing ourselves in the outdoors and when weather permits some painting en plein air.
