On Thursday, May 4th, 2023, our school cricket team won their first game of the Leprechaun Cup against Rush NS at Rush Cricket Club. We are all very proud of this fantastic result. The team has trained hard, and a vast improvement has been seen week after week. Fifth-class boys Ryan Sheridan and Edvards Skanis were outstanding batting partners, scoring an impressive 14 runs. Junior Mbamba, Dylan Fletcher, Lucas Murphy Browne, and Evan Mitchell all batted brilliantly to add to our runs. Captain Ryan Young was a commanding presence throughout, leading his team superbly. Donatas Petelko did fantastically well as our safe-handed wicketkeeper. Fatima Shahid slotted in well when called upon. Zac Nieuwoudt showed his class as our slink bowler, taking several crucial wickets. Michael Hogan, Denzel Akinsanya and Raivo Sirmelis all showed their outstanding natural athleticism when fielding expertly and brought us home the well-deserved victory. We are very proud of you all!
